About Sally Carter
Sally Carter has a classical music background, having an LTCL in Piano Teaching. This formal training gave her the knowledge and understanding of principles of 4 part harmony writing as well as composition.
Sally has also performed in string quartets and a chamber orchestra on violin and viola. However, her first love has been to perform on fiddle and ukulele in bands and duos at festivals, wineries, pubs, cafes and private functions.
She taught piano and violin privately for 12 years in Launceston, Tasmania in Australia. Her teaching business was affiliated with the St Cecilia School of Music where music teachers were able to collaborate and encourage students learning different instruments to perform together.
Up until COVID19, Sally’s ‘day job’ was performing in Victoria, Australia as an entertainer and music therapist in Aged Care Facilities, Day Respite Centres, Senior Citizen’s Clubs and Supported Residential Services Facilities.
